According to Marty, who has become my friend and is the RV mechanic who's worked on the van for the last 4 days, this is a "NY muffler clamp." It was "holding" up the generator's exhaust pipe. Oh, btw, this is day seven - 5 more weeks to go! Elvis's Birthplace, Museum and Park. That is the actual home he was born in, on the same plot of land. I love the notes on Elvira's fact sheet (0-60: Yes, Top Speed: 180 (don't tell Dad). Sadly, most of the cars didn't have info sheets such as this. Tupelo Automobile Museum Warning from 1905 not go exceed *8* mph. And look at that fancy hood ornament! I know it's only a model, but it's a model of (probably) my favorite car: 1968 Camaro. Gross color though. And the 69 Charger is pretty hot too! These were some standouts, not because they were my favorite models, but because of some feature. The upper left one actually has a candelabra built into it (at least it looked built in!). Upper right is the only one of its kind, a Camarovett. The Toyota was cool because of all the signatures, and the Rolls belonged to B.B. King. Last but not least, my faves...

Barb, OMG, so sorry to hear of your troubles with the exhaust system! Where are you? I'd climb all over the owner about this and get the repairs paid for by them plus a refund. Let me know if there's someone I can yell at for you......
