oI completely underestimated the drive time to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon today, in addition to confusing the time difference between Az. and Utah (damn Arizona! Not observing daylight savings time!). I didn't arrive at my camp site until almost 7 p.m., so it was too late to go the parks. They are slightly south of me and I'm heading north to pick up Liz (again, not poo-talking Liz, another Liz) at the train station in Whitefish, MT at 9 p.m. Wed. night. So I'm going to go to them on my way back to Arizona.
But never fear! LOTS of absolutely stunning scenery today! I think all of these are in Arizona.
I should land somewhere in Idaho tomorrow night, but I'm not sure where just yet. Can't wait to see the scenery there! Oh, and I should mention - I love this truck!! It has some serious balls! I got a little scared a couple of different time driving on really windy roads with no guard rails since it's much bigger of a vehicle than I'm used to driving, and it was my first day driving it. It's very different than the van in terms of accommodations, and there are pluses and minuses to both designs, but I will take a safe vehicle that doesn't break down over that van any day, no matter what the accommodations!
For those of you who have been reading all along, I'm including ANOTHER one of those plastic flosser thingies. This one is purple (which I've never seen, btw). It was in the parking lot of Safeway in Flagstaff.
Can you believe they have hi speed internet at the KOA in Cedar City, Utah?!
